Patricia K. Farris, MD
Patricia K Farris, M.D. is a clinical assistant professor at Tulane University School of Medicine where she received her master’s degree in physiology, medical degree and residency training in dermatology. Her private practice in Metairie, Louisiana includes general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr Farris specializes in non-invasive techniques for facial rejuvenation including lasers, dermal fillers and neurotoxins. She is an experienced injector and serves as a clinical trainer for Botox Cosmetic, Juvederm, Juvederm Voluma and Kybella.
Dr Farris is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), and a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Dermatologic Association, The Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS) and the International Society for Cosmetic Dermatology. She has chaired numerous committees and task forces for the AAD, ASDS and WDS.
Dr Farris has over 25 years in clinical practice and research and is a thought leader in topical skincare, cosmeceuticals and nutraceuticals. She is a sought after consultant to cosmetic and pharmaceutical companies where she helps guide product development and overall strategic direction. Her current consultancies include L’Oreal, Nivea, Neostrata, Obagi Medical and SkinCeuticals. She is editor and contributor to the textbook Cosmeceuticals and Cosmetic Practice. (Wiley Publishing, 2014). Her consumer book The Sugar Detox explores the relationship between sugar, nutrition and aging (DeCapo Press, 2013). Dr Farris serves on the editorial board for Dermatology Times, Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Journal of Drugs in Dermatology and The Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology.
